Below is an article involving SJE that was published in the May 5, 2022, edition of the Grand Haven Tribune.

Tri-Cities Puentes Initiative, the organization that hosts the annual Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, has achieved official nonprofit status. Board members announced the initiative is now officially a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

“We love building bridges and bringing people together from all walks of life to celebrate Hispanic heritage, and we are excited to have established a nonprofit that creates opportunities to cultivate, uplift and support future Latin American/Hispanic community leaders,” said the organization’s co-chairperson, Reyna Masko.

The 2022 Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta is planned for Sept. 16-24. Go to tcpuentes.org for more information.

Board members for 2022 include Masko and fellow co-chairperson the Rev. Jared Cramer of St. John’s Episcopal Church; along with Paige Brockmyre, Karen Forbes, Nancy Pagan, Christina Rodriguez Scarpino, Brenda Amaya, Jackie Hernandez and Christian Garcia.
