Finance Commission
The Finance Commission assists the Vestry in their responsibility for holding the financial trust of the congregation. They meet monthly to review the financial statements, make recommendations for large financial decisions, and at the end of each year recommend a budget to the Vestry for the year to come. It is an ex officio commission, composed of the Parishioner-At-Large, Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and Sr. Warden. When elected by the Vestry as “parishioner-at-large,” you serve in that role for your first year, then as Assistant Treasurer in your second and finally as Treasurer in your third year.
Property Commission
We are blessed with an historic building, parts of which are more than 150 years old situated on a campus that occupies the entire eastern half of a city block. Our building is active with ministries throughout the week, including community partnerships with English as a Second Language courses, aerobics classes, Al-Anon groups, and Samaritas Addiction Recovery. Our campus includes the St. Francis Prayer and Meditation Garden, the Memorial Garden where many of members choose to be interred, and our Good News Garden which provides fresh produce for our parish feeding ministries. Overseeing this is a big job and the Property Commission, chaired by the Jr. Warden, assists the Vestry in that work. For more information on how you can join and lend a hand, contact the parish office.
