About the event
As we enter the Season of Advent, all are welcome to a special Quiet Day, hosted by St. John's Episcopal Church at 524 Washington Avenue in Grand Haven, MI, on the second Saturday in Advent, December 11, from 9am-4pm. The Quiet Day will be led by our rector, Fr. Jared Cramer and will be a repeat offering from a previous year of his series of reflections on Visions of Mary. The day will be structured around some of the various visions of Mary that exist in cultures around the world, including Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Fátima, Our Lady of Knock, and Our Lady of Walsingham. We will hear some of the spiritual significance of these visions and have time for the daily office, personal quiet
prayer, meditation, and reflection.
Breakfast snacks along with lunch are all included, but you must register in advance at the link: http://sjegh.com/advent. There is a suggested donation of $20 to cover expenses, but scholarships are available upon request. Any funds raised in excess of the quiet day costs will be donated to our Loving Spoonfuls Meal Ministry, providing a free hot meal to the hungry on Sundays at 1pm and Wednesdays at 6pm.
