Kids Night / Noche de Niños - Día de los Muertos

Need a date night? Want your kids to learn more about Día de los Muertos and Mexican culture? On Saturday, October 23rd, from 3pm-8pm, the SJE Children & Youth Ministry is inviting your kids to come to a special Día de los Muertos Kids Night! We will be starting off the night at 3pm with four different activities! Sugar skull decorating, face painting, crown making, and making papel picado (p-ka-doe) a traditional tissue paper decoration. We will then get our church’s altar ready from 4:30 to 5:00 pm so that everyone can bring photos, items, and set the finished sugar skulls on Sunday. We will have dinner from 5:00 to 6:00 pm as we talk about the meaning behind the day of the dead and learn the importance it has in Mexican culture.
