The evening will include swing music by the 17-piece Lakeshore Big Band, dining, drinks and a silent auction. Free child care at the church will be provided for ticket holders who request it in advance through the parish office.
The event will benefit the church's Parish Outreach Fund, which supports both local and global ministries and missions. It will also raise money to establish a lay training ministry for pastoral care.
“Our parish is incredibly blessed to be joined in our mission and outreach activities by people from around the Tri-Cities,” said the Very Rev. Jared Cramer, rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 524 Washington Ave. “We hope that this event will provide yet another opportunity for community engagement in the context of an evening of celebration and fun.”
The event is open to the community, but tickets are limited. Tickets are $100 per couple (or $50 per individual). Half of the cost is a donation.
